Airpods 2 vs Airpods Pro – Design
When it comes to its design, Apple is undeniably sticking to its status quo of having the classic white feature for their earbuds. The Airpods are practically identical to its first iteration for having the universal fit. Unlike the Airpod Pro, there will be three different sizes to choose from that nestled in the ear canal of its users.
The Airpod Pro now has touch controls for playback and call buttons. The sleek design is still evident on both AirPods, but with the Airpod Pro the in-ear housing is bigger and has silicon tips. This makes the Airpod Pro offer a much more suitable design than the later ones.
Airpods 2 vs Airpods Pro – Features
With the introduction of the Active Noise cancellation, Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ, Force sensor, and sweat-water resistance of Airpod Pro, it undoubtedly has the premium features that the previous AirPods doesn’t have. But both have the core functionality with the H1 Chip. This chip spurs the connectivity with any apple devices, enabling voice-activated Siri, and also reducing audio latency for gaming.
Airpods 2 vs Airpods Pro – Sound Quality
With the Airpod Pro Adaptive EQ, it adjusts the sound frequency to the shape of a user’s ear, making the bass wider and richer. This extra feature attached to the Airpod Pro enables a high dynamic range amplifier that makes the sound crisp and reduces the background noise. Each layer of the track sounded more defined and isolated compared to the earlier Airpods.
Apple has also improved its technology and the microphones’ frequency response with their Airpod Pro. But undeniably all Apple AirPods have an excellent microphone quality outperforming other competitors in the market.
Airpods 2 vs Airpods Pro – Battery Life
In terms of their battery life, there is really not that much difference between the two Airpods. However, Airpod Pro lasts up to 4.5 hours per charge while the noise cancellation and transparency mode are active. If disabled, the battery life can last up to 5 hours. Both the Airpods and Airpod Pro arrive with charging cases that charge more than 24 hours of listening time and 18 hours of talk time. And Airpods have a smaller charging case than the Airpod Pro.
If the premium features are your top priority, then the Airpod Pro is best suited for you. However, if you want to stick on the simpler one, the regular Airpods are perfectly fine to fit your needs. And you may able to save a big chunk of money from their price difference.
