Apple has built a strong reputation for producing sleek and slim MacBook in the market. Many have anticipated the release of the MacBook Pro 2020, with its major improvements along with the eradication of the butterfly keyboard. But the proposition now is whether this is the right laptop to be purchased now.
The MacBook Pro 13-inch 2020 is arguably the most in-demand laptop, offering power and performance above previous MacBooks without demanding a higher price tag than the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Apple has to keep the price accessible, while also offering specific performance and features for the creative professionals.
Here are some of our early reviews with the new MacBook Pro:
As we’ve seen with other recent MacBook releases, Apple sticks to its signature exterior of pure aluminum with the variety of either Silver or Space Gray colors. The dimensions are roughly the same with its predecessors at 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.61-inches (304.1 x 212.4 x 156mm) but slightly thicker, having a depth of 0.59-inches (149mm). It’s also slightly heavier at 3.1 pounds (1.4kg) but the difference won’t be too noticeable for it’s still reasonably light for a pro laptop.
While the screen remains the same as having a Retina solution of (2,560 x 1,600) in a 13-inch MacBook which gives a bright and vibrant display. This offers an excellent color reproduction for creative professionals. With all the adjustments from keyboard to its exterior, Apple has shown some tweaks which is quite impressive.
It’s not only the portability and sophisticated design where MacBooks have traditionally fared a lot better than their Windows 10 competitors but also its battery life. Having a 58 watt-hour battery promises a 10 hours battery life. Apple has boosted its RAM speed, which helps give the new 13-inch MacBook Pro a noticeable performance increase. Apple has also doubled the capacity of the entry-level MacBook Pro 13-inch to 256GB.
So, with the improved keyboard, more storage space, and the same launch price as its predecessor. Then you’ve got a professional laptop this year.
