Asus ROG Phone 3: Everything we know so far
Asus has been formally known for bringing quality devices that gamers love to try out. We all have seen Asus laptops travel around the globe to suit the needs of international and local players. But now, a new gadget is expected to blow our minds in the coming weeks.
The Asus ROG Phone 3, that is called the “ROG Game Changer,” is scheduled to be showcased next Wednesday, July 22.
This device has been much-awaited by Asus fans since the last gaming model called ROG Phone II– launched last year.
Since the day of its announcement, Asus ROG Phone 3 had already been a center of various leaks from different reliable sources. Here’s everything that we might know about the new Asus gaming device.
To speak frankly, according to leak sources, there is no exact difference between the ROG Phone II and the Phone 3– when it comes to the phone design. Based on a leak from famous gadget leaker Evan Blass, Phone 3 has the exact central LED-lit logo, the same basic design, and even the placement of the cameras.
This device is also rumored to have a 6.59-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with an integrated in-display fingerprint scanner.
What’s different from the devices is the more refined phone design of the company. Compared to the last model, Phone 3 has curved in many places. No edges as sharp on the Phone II were found on the leaked images of the 2020 device.
The right side of the device also has the same pair of buttons, originally made by Asus. The front design still has its nice dual speakers too.
When it comes to the camera specs of Asus ROG Phone 3, the camera sets are also upgraded in style.
9to5mac said on the report that the Phone 3, instead of having two sets of cameras, has three cameras. Not only that, but the main sensor of the three cameras was also upgraded from its original 48 MP to 64 MP cameras.
Battery, Memory, and Chipset
GSMarena reported on July 11 about a possible leak of the real battery specs of the Phone 3. It turns out that the device had already passed Taiwan’s NCC certification.
As listed on the certification, named as ASUS_I003D, (rumored to be the name of the Phone 3) the device will have a higher battery rate compared before. It has a 6000 mAh battery capacity and internal storage of 512 GB.
Aside from that, the chipset of the device is confirmed to support the latest Qualcomm product, Snapdragon 865+.
