There’s never been an excellent opportunity to buy a television now. The tech industry has fixed much of the glitches on LCD and OLED TVs. The costs today are smaller than ever. In reality, it costs about half of what they did last year’s high-end 4K versions.

Just because you have plenty of choices doesn’t mean you can carelessly throw your money at something not worthy. Worry not as LG has made out of this cheaper LG B8 OLED sequence.

LG OLED65B8 Overview

While the higher-ranking LG smart TVs use the latest high-end Alpha 9 processor, the B8 uses an Alpha 7 processor. The lower processor version presents the same feature and performance as the previous models. While LG B8 OLED does not feature the most advanced image processing technology, it still has the new screen that supports multi-HDR formats.

LG OLED65B8 Design

The LG B8 OLED is a pleasure to behold from its sleek, elegant metal backplate to its slim edges, flat screen, and bezel. There is no suggestion it is the cheapest ever produced OLED TV LG.

The connectors are found at the lower-left portion of the screen, including the four HDMI inputs. These would allow you to plug your gaming consoles and video players into any of these HDMI connections. You can also experience a smoother video streaming without any problems.

LG OLED65B8: Picture quality & motion responsiveness

The LG B8 uses the new WRGB OLED panel from LG and it’s obvious the changes. Uniformity of this smart TV is better than last year’s OLED panels. When asked to show darker full-field gray slides, there was no color tinting or banding or dirty screen effect.

The LG OLED65B8 provides both black frame insertion (BFI) and frame interpolation to counter motion blur. Many viewers would be able to handle the flicker that comes with the 50Hz broadcast content.

You can watch sports like football or ice hockey without ruining your viewing experience. However, ardent video buffs will be a tad disappointing to note. This smart TV doesn’t seem to have the recontouring filter enabled on LG OLED‘s with Alpha 9 processors.

Verdict

By using a less efficient video processor, LG has made a way of making their OLED TV technology cheaper. The B8 OLED range uses its power and versatility of a so-called Alpha 7 chip instead of the costly latest Alpha 9 processor used in the other 2018 OLED sequence. It has effects on results-but not preventing the OLED55B8 and OLED65B8 from adding up to a number.
