If you are one of the people who would love to have that modern, classy, yet simple smartwatch then, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is right for you. It is a lightweight watch that is a perfect fit for working out and getting your body goals.

They pack this newly released smartwatch by Samsung with health and fitness features at a lower price than its competitors and works on both Android and iOS. However, this model doesn’t have the rotating bezel like its predecessors and only comes in one size. And for security assurances, Samsung’s health app doesn’t make it easy to locate all your data.

The Display and Design

The design is simple as it is, having that circular smartwatch and removing the rotating bezel to go for that sportier design. Samsung intended to put a lightweight feature on the Galaxy Watch Active to make it easier to use during workouts, and it became noticeably thinner on the wrist without losing the premium look. And it offers a 1.1-inch 360 x 360 resolution display.

The watch body is made up of metal, which made it more modern and classy. The power buttons aren’t always easy to find, are you want to unlock the watch, and would have preferred these to be a little more pronounced to make them easier to press with a finger.

There are four color options for the Galaxy Watch Active: silver, black, blue (technically sea green), and pink. While the pink band comes with a rose gold body. All the available bands come in a silicone type of material, which is more effective while sweating.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch uses 20mm straps, which can changeable depends on your mood. This means that you can purchase other straps from Samsung, or a third-party strap instead.

The Performance and Features

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active offers top-end internal powers, for inside there’s an Exynos 9110 chipset. This is the same tech that was inside the Galaxy Watch, which is also paired with 750MB of RAM. This setup of powers along with the watch can give a smooth and fast gadget.

The watch comes with a heart rate monitor and capable of measuring your stress levels. This feature notices when your heart rate peaks, and from there it will tell you to take some time to monitor your stress, and it would even recommend breathing exercises for you to undertake.

The Verdict

This Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is a great smartwatch and fitness tracker at a reasonable price. Samsung expects you to get over 45 hours out of a single charge of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, and what they say is true for it reflects the performance we saw.

This Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Active ($160 at Amazon) is packed in a slimmer and simpler exterior.
