Blocking is the easiest, fastest, and most effective way of removing unsolicited text messages or people from your android phone. And in order for you to block that person, you need to know how to do that first. The process is quicker and effective than you think, and we are here to reveal those to you below.
Removing unsolicited text messages:
Samsung Phones
There are two ways to block messages on Samsung phones. The first method is just by opening the Messages app, then choose the conversation of the contact you want to block. And then from there, tap the More icon, select Block number, and toggle to check to Delete conversation. Then tap OK.
The second option is to go to Messages > More > Settings. Tap the Block messages, then Block numbers, manually enter the contact’s number that you want to block and tap the + sign, or you also have the option to choose from your inbox or contacts list. Once done entering all the numbers you want to block, tap the back arrow.
LG Phones
Having an LG phone is also easy to block unsolicited text messages. All you have to do is go to the messaging app and tap the SMS or MMS message that you wanted to block. Then, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner, then tap Block number to confirm your choice. The number should now be blocked.
HTC phones
HTC’s way of blocking unwanted messages is quick and easy. All you have to do is to tap and hold the desired text conversation until the Message options appear. Then tap Block contact.
Google phones
For a Google phone, there are also two ways in blocking people out. The initial step is by opening the Messages app. Tap More, select Details, and tap Block & Report spam. You can also open the Messages app, touch and hold the conversation you want to block, and tap the Block icon when the option appears in the top-right corner.
Carrier Phones
There is also another option in blocking unwanted people. You may contact your telecommunications provider like Verizon has Block Calls & Messages, Sprint requires using Limits and Permissions via My Sprint, T-Mobile has Message Blocking, and AT&T has Smart Limits.
Block with apps
There are dozens of apps available in Google’s Play Store that you can install if you’re looking for other methods to block numbers and messages. You may check it out if you want to go down that path, but you must know the potential privacy issues when you share your contacts.
