Destiny 2 Solstice Heroes 2020 is coming. Players are becoming more excited as the days pass by to celebrate another year. We’re welcoming a new year as Bungie announces the unique collection of Solstice armor and activity tasks for the game.
So when does the event start, and what can you do about it this time? And how does this event work correctly?
Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2020 Guide
The Solstice of Heroes 2020 starts after the weekly Destiny 2 reset on Monday, August 11. The game will continue for nearly a month until September 8. It runs concurrently with Destiny 2 Moments of Triumph 2020 celebration.
Speaking of Moments of Triumph, you should own the Season 11 Pass to complete every mission and get every reward Bungie gives.
Bungie also revealed that this predicament is linked to two Triumphs. Hence, you need to complete those to keep your Guardian’s coveted MMXX title.
Sneak Peak, Activities
The event is an anniversary celebration. Since the game is a special occasion for everyone, Bungie usually gives something for everyone. Players may win a collection of Solstice armor. They can upgrade the item from a simple set to a great set of masterpieces.
The developers appeared to give their players a sneak preview into what’s to come.
There will also be the European Aerial Area: a three-player activity that will make players visit particular areas, win keys, destroy enemies, and track their chests by the end of the game.
An elemental boost is added every day to the environment, like Void, Arc, or Solar.
How to Get and Upgrade the Solstice Armor
What excites every Destiny 2 player is the Solstice Armor. It’s a rare piece and can be upgraded into a legendary Majestic set and even further into a Magnificent package.
However, Bungie doesn’t really reveal the questline that will upgrade the product. However, you can expect some grinding to be involved. The developers have said the final set of goals for the Magnificent package is tied to mastering the equipment.
The duties include:
- Completing a Master Difficulty Ordinary Nightfall;
- Performing a Destiny 2 Heresy pit run;
- Completing Tier 5 Altar of Sorrow thrice;
- Finishing a Wild Chase; and
- Winning seven Osiris Match Trials
Bungie announced that armor will remain valid until the next Solstice of Heroes gathering. The shield, in other words, has the highest current known Power Level cap.
A word of warning though: Don’t throw any pieces of old raid equipment you have grown attached to. The mod sockets on these things would be available on Season of Arrivals, reports claim.
You will be rewarded in doing so with the masterworked gear with a victorious white glow. Instead, to find better roles for the coming year, you will be able to loot additional pieces of chest equipment in the EAZ.
Eventually, there will be event-exclusive products that players can get through Tess. They can opt to buy exclusive glows as universal ornaments that could be purchased either with Bright Dust or with Silver. The glows could cost 6,000 Bright Dust, or 1,500 Gold, according to a leak.
