Should you get a Nintendo Switch or a Switch Lite? Find out which fits you best!

The question a lot of video game console consumers ask themselves lately is should they get the standard Nintendo Switch or opt for the Switch Lite?
What’s the difference between both consoles aside from the name?
Nintendo Switch colors
The iconic blue and red joycons are actually only available on the Nintendo Switch which although might not be a big deal now, it could be in the future.
Take note, owning a console means owning a part of a video game console generation.
There are also different special edition looks for the Nintendo Switch like the previous Animal Crossing which was a big hit!
The Switch light, on the other hand, offers special colors as well. The matte coral looking console gives off a really cute but sleek look to the whole console.
The Switch Lite also comes with a Pokemon version so if you’re a big fan of Pokemon, this might be the obvious choice.
The display
There is a definite distinction in size and weight between the two consoles but interestingly enough, the screen size is not too different.
The Nintendo Switch uses a 6.2-inch screen while the Switch Lite uses a 5.5-inch screen of its own.
Despite the difference in size, both of them actually maintain a standard LCD screen of 1,280×720.
A common misconception is that the Switch Lite underperforms but this is obviously not the case.
The weight
Obviously, one weighs more but by how much? The difference between both consoles is quite significant.
The Nintendo Switch weighs 398 grams, which is not really impressive, but check this out.
The Switch Lite only weighs 277 grams! This is 110 grams much lighter than the regular Switch.
This is almost as heavy as the iPhone 5 at 112 grams!
The battery life
For most people who like to take their gaming mobile, battery life is quite a big deal.
The longer the battery life, the less the gamer would have to worry about constantly charging their game console.
The Nintendo Switch can work for from 4.5 all the way to 9 hours while the Switch Lite can only work from 3 to 7 hours.
The Nintendo Switch can figuratively function about 33% longer than the Switch Lite.
The play options
Sadly, there is one feature that the Nintendo Switch totally trumps the Switch Lite.
The Nintendo Switch can be attached to a TV just like the Sony X750H while the Switch is strictly for handheld use.
Although this might not be a big deal for some, this can be a huge dealbreaker if you are used to playing multiplayer games.
While PC gamers have the choice to make between Intel and AMD, Switch gamers have the decision to make between the classic Nintendo Switch or the Switch Lite.
Although both of them have their benefits, it still really depends on what type of gamer are you.
