Fossil fuels won’t last forever. Learn more about how electric vehicles could save the environment.
Fossil Fuels! What seems to be a growing trend nowadays is the increase in the volume of electric vehicles on the street.
Of course, this is a very beneficial thing for electric vehicle manufacturers like Tesla and other companies that are slowly transitioning.
Aside from just being beneficial economically, electric vehicles actually play a much bigger role in our environment.
One of the problems today with such a dense population is the availability of transportation and the efficiency of it.
The problem on the streets
Currently, gasoline and diesel cars run the streets getting people from one place to another as a means of saving time.
Currently, even time is becoming a problem because of traffic.
Traffic is a really bad sign. This means that the number of cars on the street has increased to more than the city is designed to handle.
In comes the problem, since a majority of these cars rely on fossil fuel, what would happen to our environment?
Fossil fuel is actually not replaceable which means there is only a finite amount of this resource around the world.
Although currently, it seems like there is still a lot of supply going around, the reality is that fossil fuels are not only going to be rare, they are also very harmful to the environment.
There are two reasons why fossil fuels are harmful
The first reason fossil fuel is harmful is because of the acquisition method in getting this resource.
Mining, or the process of extracting fossil fuels, is extremely harmful to the environment.
Not only does this process involve fracking, but the factories alone also emit a huge amount of carbon that goes straight up.
The more gas that goes up from the factories, the thinner the ozone layer becomes.
Another big reason why fossil fuel is harmful is that the use of this resource includes combustion which is the process of burning.
When a certain thing is burned, the amount of carbon it leaves behind is quite big and that carbon accumulates around the earth’s atmosphere.
What are the benefits of electric vehicles?
Aside from running on electricity and saving the user a significant amount in comparison to spending for gas, running on renewable energy is much safer for the environment.
With more electric cars on the street, the carbon footprint that we as humans leave would be significantly lower.
One thing that the UK is trying to do is to transition into electric cars by the year 2035 in hopes to reduce and repair the carbon footprint left behind.
Even companies like Apple are trying to transition into relying on renewable energy for their manufacturing in order to decrease the total carbon footprint in the environment.
The switch to electric vehicles is not just an economic choice but also an environmentally-aware choice as well.
Tesla Model 3 is not the only electric vehicle on the planet. Say goodbye to fossil fuels and maybe pick out the best EV for you.
