Employees of Amazon’s massive cloud storage sector could earn as much as $185,000, including equity rewards and incentives for as little as a year of employment. That’s according to an Amazon Web Services Business Insider review of compensation reports and work articles.
US businesses may report compensation when applying for H-1B visas on behalf of existing or prospective international employees. The wages are published quarterly by the Office of International Labour Certification. Business Insider obtained the data to identify the top-paying workers in the AWS. The work descriptions are used to determine more about the positions.
AWS’s basic salary doesn’t appear to be as large as the eCommerce’s overall. However, it’s worth remembering that the data doesn’t show shares and incentives that are a significant part of the pay inside AWS as far as we can say.
Rates.fyi, a database where engineers apply their salaries and overall wages in their work, reveals stock and incentives will make up much of Amazon Web Service engineers’ annual compensation.
The website reports the annual compensation as $162,000 for a top software development engineer. Yet gross rewards amount as $552,000 with $333,000 in shares each year and a bonus of $57,000.
