It’s out with the old and in with the new.
Facebook’s New Design, which is called FB5, has been slowly releasing from the platform. For years, Facebook has been changing its user interface to keep up with the new technology trends. The “New Facebook” is reportedly the most dramatic change that the company ever did from the past UIs.
The new design shift makes Facebook looks and works on desktop and mobile and it even has a site-wide dark mode.
To help you adjust to the changes, we’re breaking down below what to expect from the “New Facebook”.
Facebook’s New Design
The Dark Mode
If ever you are in a bright area where you are having a hard time looking into your account then the Dark Mode will be the best feature for you. This feature will be available to desktops and iPhone users. This is also available in messenger.
The White Design
If you are also one of the people who would like to have a minimal, clean, and brighter FB account then, the white design is suitable for you. The company has retained this simple interface to users who don’t like that much complication and sort.
The Group and Newsfeed
It’s undeniable that the most notable Facebook change will be the News Feed and Group section. Facebook is categorizing the group communities and their private interactions. The company’s objective is that friends and family should be the core of users’ social lives. So, the Facebook Groups will now be more prioritized and surfaced.
The feed for groups will also serve up recent activity and may even lead to the replacement to the News Feed as the default feed.
Aside from the basic features that Facebook already has, there will also be added features that users will use on the platform. One of these is the chat for gaming groups, Facebook Live, and mostly, the Zoom feature.
