Apple has planned to attach 5G capabilities to the new iPhones that will come into the market. However, the bad news is that the 5G components have higher costs. And the company is currently looking for ways to even out the price of its parts to make up the difference.
Despite this information, Apple didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Apple’s efforts in doing some changes and improvements; the 5G technology would force users to use different chips that feature new technology that makes faster connections possible.
Apple Officially Confirms iPhones Delay
Consumers who want to purchase the newest iPhone series will have to wait longer since there will be no iPhones to launch this September. This is an official confirmation from tech giant Apple, Inc., The Verge also has the story.
Apple CFO Luca Maestri mentioned that the investors recently and confirmed that the iPhone 12 launch will be delayed. The release will unlikely to happen in September, as opposed to rumors that say it will be launched during that month.
Maestri said, “As you know, last year we started selling new iPhones in late September. This year, we project to supply to be available a few weeks later.”
The official release of these phones will happen this September 8th and October 27th based on speculations.
Similar to the rumors surrounding the launch of the iPhone 12, these delays are the talk of the town anywhere in the community. For instance, earlier in the week Qualcomm previewed the speculation about the delay in the 5G iPhone release.
They revealed that there have been effects on its third-quarter earnings upon the worldwide 5G flagship store. This is because of the phone launch’s delay.
It is important to take note that Apple, Inc. and Qualcomm, a California-based provider of tech products, are in a billion-dollar deal, with the former utilizing the latter’s 5G modem for the devices.
