It’s still not the end of Huawei under the Trump Administration.
Huawei’s Honor 20 has been the undeniably intriguing mid-range phone since Trump banned the company in May. Honor 20 has been one of the approved phone Android certification processes before they forced Google to stop working with Huawei. Aside from the certification, the phone has built an excellent reputation with its glass-like all-screen on the front design with metal sides. Its weight is also lighter compared to its rivals in the market.
Despite the current issues lurking in the market between Trump Administration and Huawei, the Honor 20 is undoubtedly a great contender among other midrange phones. We will go over on that down below.
Honor 20’s Compact Design and Display
Huawei’s Honor 20 packs with a 6.26-inch display that is impressively compact and a slim profile with curved edges that’s easy to grasp with one hand. It also has a dual-glass design with a mirror finish at the back that radiates a gradient effect. It also showcases a screen that comprises a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels.
The display has a brightness of 481 cd/m², which is slightly lower than those of the other smartphones in the market. It has a nearly all screened design of 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, which gives that premium look.
Honor 20 also has a glossy finish, which smudges are quite inevitable, and you may have to clean it with cloth or cotton from time to time. It also has a camera at the back that makes this phone uneven when putting it into a flat surface.
Honor 20s Impressive Key Features
- Quad-lens camera for a mid-range phone
- An excellent side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- Impressive hardware at a great price
Honor 20 has four rear cameras, with the main having a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. It also has a 4-in-1 Light Fusion, which combines four adjacent pixels into one. The camera also gives that 117-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The front camera has a 32-megapixel selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture.
For its connectivity, the Honor 20 supports GSM, 3G, and LTE networks. With only two bands for 2G and 3G, it enables download rates of up to 1400 Mb/s and upload rates of up to 300 Mb/s. Huawei made sure to supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi for short-range communication.
Huawei’s Honor 20 is a mid-range phone that presents a reliable performance and top-end Kirin 980 chip from the controversial Huawei company. It is one of the smartphones that showcases a long-life battery and brilliant screen. Its Magic UI 2.1 software is even pretty impressive, too.
The striking Honor 20 features would set aside the unresolved issue between Huawei and Trump administration. This Huawei’s distinct smartphone would eventually continue to have access to Google for important Android updates and the certificates needed for anything from DRM Google Pay.
Also, when compared to One Plus 7, the Honor 20 offers the more robust Snapdragon 855 processor, an elegant AMOLED display, crisp stereo speakers, faster UFS 3.0 storage, and better battery life.
