Acer’s Swift laptops reportedly have the new Intel’s 11 Generation Processor chips. Having this upgraded chip, it would extend life battery, less than a second of wake time, fast charging, Wi-Fi 6, and Thunderbolt 4. This “Tiger Lake” chip would be expected to come with Acer’s Swift 3 and Swift 5.
The Acer Swift 5 is one of Acer’s first batch confirmed to have Intel’s new Evo platform. Users may have the option to choose for Swift 5 between Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Acer claims that this model provides 17 hours of battery life. However, once the intel chip is attached, the model’s battery will last up to 26 hours with the intel chip.
The Bedazzling Swift 3 & 5
The Acer Swift 3 comes in two sizes, the 13 and 14 inches. The 13 inches features a 2k display, and 14 inches also goes for 1080p full HD. While the Swift 5 only has one size. The latter model would likely grab the users’ attention. For it is taller and has this Surface-like 3:2 aspect ratio display. The model covers 100 percent of the sRGB color range which can achieve 400 nits of brightness. Thus, making it a suitable choice for creatives.
These Acer Swift’s models would weigh in at 2.62 pounds (1.19kg) and be 0.63 inches (15.9mm) thick. The 14-inch model has features of “ultra-narrow” bezels at just 0.22 inches thick. And weighs in at 2.65 pounds (1.2kg) and measures 0.63 inches (15.59mm) thick.
Acer’s Swift 3 and 5 are said to be covered with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass. This tends to reduce odors and stains according to Acer. And both models are packed in an all-metal chassis with back-lit keyboards. They also support Windows Hello logins via a fingerprint reader, which is up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

So, what’s with the Acer’s Swift new Intel Evo chip that’s making the name in technology?
Intel has announced this processor would be the second iteration of its next-generation “Project Athena” initiative. This Tiger lake chip will come in two packages. The first one is the 12 to 28-watt thermal profile and the other reaching 7 to 14 watts. This would give any PC makers the flexibility to use the CPUs in a variety of hardware designs. The fastest Tiger Lake chip will be the quad-core i7-1185G7. This then features Intel Xe graphics and clock speeds ranging from 3GHz to 4.8 GHz.
