Guess I want this phone too now.
Apple’s iPhone 11 sales have skyrocketed for the first quarter of 2020. It reportedly had about 37.7 million sold units this year. It is said that what drove this to success is its pricing strategy, making it $50 cheaper than the iPhone XR. It is also important to note that the iPhone 11 has more firm hardware components than its predecessors.
Other iPhones Making the List aside from iPhone 11
There are several iPhones that have made it to the list. One of which is the iPhone SE 2020 which is in the 5th place and has sold 8.7 million units abroad. This then followed by the iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The data is shown on the table down below from Omdia.
Based on the data shown, the shipments of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max declined compared to the iPhone XS last 2019. However, their rankings improved, and both models achieved positive results.
Apple’s iPhone SE Sales Is Down
According to the Counterpoint Research, Apple’s iPhone SE 2020 sales were down to 23 percent this second quarter of 2020 compared to the last year’s report. Despite having a decrease in sales, it was still selling above expectations during the pandemic.
Both Apple and Samsung were able to maintain their sales than the other brands due to their powerful online presence. The new iPhone SE 2020 is the device that helped the company’s sales volume afloat throughout the quarter. During the economic downturn, the overall US smartphone sales were down to 25 percent over the previous year.
This made the companies shocked as the iPhone 11 beat it.
