Among Us is now the most-talked about mobile game in the Play Store.
The mechanics are simple: do your tasks, be careful not to get killed, and find out which among crewmates is the impostor.
If you’re an impostor, the only thing you need to do is to kill everyone, without causing attention. Or even make sure to sabotage all tasks. That simple!
Now, imagine 100 players in the same room as yours.
Among Us Mods
If you’re a fan of gaming streamers of Among Us, you might have bumped in with videos, showing 100 players on each room.
Even famous Youtuber Mr. Beast uploaded a video, playing against 100 players on the match.
You might be thinking, how can they do that? Or how can you do that?
Normally, InnerSloth only allows seven up to 10 players to get inside a room on each match. However, a well-known Youtuber, Socksfor1, apparently found a way to jail break the software.
Through a game modification (mod), Socksfor1 was able to allow 100 players to enter the same match.
The modified file was shared on his Discord account. Players only have to download the file, and follow other instructions.
The room creator of the match can now customize the number of players, or even how many impostors will be there.
When we looked on the file, the mod file is titled “CodeIsNotAmongUs” and only has a size of 7.14 MB.
Is this reliable?
Of course, to protect your device from any viruses, it’s important to find out if the file is a safe one or not.
If we go back to the source– Socksfor1, he is popularly known as a mod creator for games like Minecraft and Raft.
Therefore, we can conclude he’s kind of expert on creating mods for games.
In his Youtube page, he even has videos showing other Among Us mod packs. Some of these are how to get invisible, create a match without crewmates colors, or Among Us with no kill cooldown and infinite range.
Still, Tech Visibility advises everyone, who’ll download the mod, to be careful.
Be careful what you wish for
Though the sound of 100 players in a single Among Us match looks exciting, there are negative things to expect once you’ve done this trick.
For example, the communication on the chat box could be disastrous for many. Second, choosing the real impostor could be more complicated, since there are many choices.
And funny thing, you might end up stepping on dead bodies, much often than before.
If you want the 100 players game to be more fun, you could also set rules, before the start of the game. Such as no vent allowed, no sabotages, etc.
