The Cyberpunk 2077 delay has caused a ripple effect of more games being delayed yet again. Fans are not happy.
The long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 is now said to release on December 10th which is not the first delay by the studio as the previous promise was in November. This said delay is said to have also affected a series of other game studios like Rockfish Games, the known creators of Everspace 2, as well as Grinding Gear Games, the said creator of Path of Exile. Both of these studios have decided to push their games to December all of which have cited the Cyberpunk 2077 delay as the main cause of their decision.
The Cyberpunk 2077 delay has affected other game studios
Grinding Gear Games initially announced its delay for the said 3.13 update that was originally planned out for December 11 as the game’s release has now been moved all the way to January. The update was also meant to add a little more to the whole end-game parts of the said Path of Exile and is said to do the same still. The Cyberpunk 2077 delay causing delays in other studios have made players wait for even longer.
According to Grinding Gear Games forums, their original target is on December 11 for the said 3.13 end-game expansion. This, of course, is if the Cyberpunk 2077 delay does not happen yet again. As discussed some time last week, it was said that the new development methodology will give them the confidence to be able to launch exactly on the date with even better quality expansion.
CD Projekt Red’s announcement has caused more problems for other game studios
Some time yesterday, CD Projekt Red announced that the Cyberpunk 2077 delay will only be up to December 10 and fans can finally enjoy the game come the 10th of next month. It was also said that they do not want to put the players in a position where they have to choose only between the two games which is why they have decided to step way out of the way and also delay the release of the known Path of Exile 3.13 all the way until January.
Just some time after the Cyberpunk 2077 delay announcement, Rockfish games then decided to state that they will also delay Everspace 2 saying that the Cyberpunk 2077 delay was a major blow for the studio and that the game’s early access will ruin their plans.
According to an article by Comicbook, it was stated that the marketing people at Evolve PR, Plan of Attack, as well as Swordfish PR have all decided that the game studio will be pushing back EVERSPACE 2’s Early Access release all the way to January. The statement was given to Kickstarter by Rockfish Games.
With the Cyberpunk 2077 delay pushed all the way to December and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S both around the corner, fans now have to make a decision as to which console they would pick. For those loyal PC gamers, the Ryzen 9 3900X is one of the best processors and is used in both the CyberpowerPC Gamer Master Gaming PC or the CUK Clevo NH57AF1 15 Inch Professional Laptop.
