iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are currently one of the best smartphones. Aside from their promising features, both of them have taken mobile photography to the next level.

However, these Apple products are no joke since they can really hurt your bank account. Since they are both expensive, you definitely want to make sure you’re maximizing their features.

You might want to take advantage of their extra photo-editing abilities. This is just one great feature of their cameras.

To help you get your money’s worth, here’s how you can maximize their advanced cameras. Also, here are their cameras’ features you might want to look at.

iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max’s cams

Apple has integrated both of the smartphones with three rear cameras, compared to the other flagships. Why? Because iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini only have two rear cams.

The extra lens in the rear cams is a telephoto one. This provides the iPhone 12 Pro a 2x optical zoom.

Meanwhile, the telephoto cam in iPhone 12 Pro Max allows it to have a 1/5x zoom feature. It also gives iPhone 12 Pro 4x optical range and 5x on Pro Max.

Just by its name, Pro Max certainly has the upper hand compared to iPhone 12 Pro. The more advanced version also has a main 12MP sensor that is larger.

This means that Pro Max has a more improved low light photography and can capture more light. What’s great about it is that the camera adjusts its position.

This feature allows it to capture steady videos while the device is shaking or moving. Since Pro Max’s camera automatically moves, you no longer need to use any stabilizing software.

On the other hand, both of the Apple smartphones have LiDAR scanner integrated. This technology is an upgrade for your iPhone’s depth-sensing capabilities.

LiDAR improves any reality apps’ outputs. Not only that, it also allows the camera to autofocus quicker, especially in low light situations.

Tricks for your iPhone

Now that you know both of the iPhones’ cams, here are some tricks you can use. Because of its HD feature, you might want to take advantage of its zoom ability.

Since their cameras provide 2x and 2.5x zoom option, you no longer have to get close to your subject. This will really come handy especially when you are in a concert.

You can just stay and at the back and still capture amazing photos. It is also useful when you go to the zoo.

Their zoom features allow you to capture detailed animal photos even when you’re far away. On the other hand, both of the devices also received Apple ProRAW mode.

This new feature will really excite those who are serious about mobile photography. ProRAW gives you the option to lessen any processing effects of your device.

Apple’s new feature allows you to control your photo even more! Once you take a picture, you’ll have the raw data instead of the adjusted one.

You can use Photoshop CC or any editing tool to adjust the image output according to your liking.
