Keep calm. Everyone is experiencing the outage.
Almost all Google Services like Gmail, Google Docs, and YouTube are currently down. Countries that are currently experiencing the outages are across Europe, India, the Philippines, and the United States.
Google Services Outage
The reason for the outage is not yet clear but according to the DownDetector website, the outage started at approximately 3:30 a.m. Pacific Time. It has also been advised to use Incognito mode or a private browsing tab to sign in as the alleged cause will be Google’s authentication systems.
Warning! Guess you have to turn off the ‘Smart Feature’ on your Gmail account to avoid the tracker. For the reason that the company collects every activity, you do online while, of course, using their products and services. This data then will be sold to advertisers and also make it easier and faster for them to use Google’s services. They usually do these through algorithms.
The Clear Warning: How to Prevent it
Most of the users do not understand that this might happen and once known, then there’s a big chance that they don’t want their personal information to be tracked, stored, and sold. However, there’s a loophole that users can take advantage of in changing Gmail’s data collection. This is thanks to the new Gmail settings that will be launched in the next few weeks.
And the first step to do that is to do is to turn off Gmail’s “Smart features” like Smart Reply, Smart Compose, etc. Disabling this kind of personalization removes certain conveniences like content suggestions and applications.
