Life is Good – Future (1.36 Billion Views)
The five-minute official music video of Future’s song Life is Good ft. Drake is at the top of this list with over 1.36 billion views. The song talks about having to work on the weekends and dealing with issues in the working-class. In the video, Future and Drake go through a narrative of working class men dreaming of making it big in the music industry. They portray several working classmen like fast-food workers, Apple Store workers, waste management workers, and a few more. Future and Drake have also worked on Grammys (2016) and Blue Tint (2016) together. Both are respectively from Drake’s albums Views and Scorpion.
Dynamite – BTS (0.70 Billion Views)
Next up, is the first fully English song by South Korea’s number one boy band, BTS. Currently 700 million views, this music video’s only been out for three months. BTS is known globally and the band even has an edition of Galaxy Buds+, it’s no surprise they made it to the top 5 most viewed videos. Dynamite is an entirely feel-good song packed with loads of references to several pop culture figures. Overall, the song was made in hopes of giving listeners some positive vibes and energy to cheer up. It’s received a lot of love from old and new fans alike and remains to climb in views even up till now.
How You Like That – Blackpink (0.69 Billion Views)
Another K-pop group with a global hit song is Blackpink. The four-member girl group recently released their first full album. The music video of the title track, How You Like That, currently has a bit over 697 million views, almost as much as Dynamite. The song generally talks about how what goes around comes around. However, the group also mentioned that they wanted to give strength and confidence to listeners when they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. The video itself is filled with a dark aura, huge sets, a few dance scenes, and some impressive cinematography. The girl group also recently partnered with Samsung with their own edition of the Samsung Galaxy A80.
Genda Phool – Sony Music India (0.68 Billion Views)
A new song by Indian rapper Badshah featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Payal Dev marks this list with around 680 million views. The song, Genda Phool, is accompanied by a familiar folk melody mixed with new urban sounds to create this chill intoxicating tune. It’s a new and fresh vibe Hindi Pop and has been well received by listeners. The music video features vibrant sets and outfits, a mix of folk and hip hop, and a lot of dancers.
Gooba – 6ix9ine (0.64 Billion Views)
Finally, we have Gooba by well-known rapper 6ix9ine with 649 million views. This is the rapper’s first song since his release from prison and the video was actually shot in the backyard of his house. The song is strongly-laced with profanity and controversial phrases and topics but is overall meant for the rapper’s haters. The music video showcases several dancers in colorful outfits, the rapper decked in a rainbow windbreaker and braids, and a lot of paint.
