Things are getting better with every post on Instagram.
iPhone 12 ProRaw photos are now made possible on Instagram. As the company has recently rolled out a feature supporting iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max photos. The report was released on a tweet by the Instagram developer, Tim Johnsen.
iPhone 12 ProRaw Photos
The instagram developer, Tim Johnsen, has shared that ProRAW photos in the DNG format cannot be edited on Instagram. Despite this unavailability, there has still no much details available aside from the fact also that Instagram is converting the ProRAW file into JPEG to enable the upload.
The ProRAW feature is actually an iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max feature that comes along with the iOS 14.3 update. This gives an advantage to users having control over white balance, noise reduction, sharpening, and more. The iPhone 12 ProRaw Photos are also ideal for any mixed indoor lighting, extremely low light, and super high dynamic range image shootings.
Instagram Features Are Unavailable In EU
Facebook’s Messenger and Instagram are currently unavailable in the EU to comply with Europe’s new rules on users’ data usage strictly. These new rules have been rolled out across EU countries.
The affected users will receive notifications and alerts from the platform informing them that some features won’t be accessible. This is to “respect new rules for messaging services in Europe.”
According to the initial reports by The Verge, the alerts that were sent by the Tech Giant don’t really specify the disabled features. However, based on the users, some features missing would be the personalized replies in Messenger and stickers on Instagram.
They say the temporary changes are Facebook’s prerogative compliance with the national implementations of the 2002 Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive (ePrivacy Directive). This means that Europe has recently imposed a stricter rule on data use in communications services in the country.
