In case you have not been on the Starwars train, the franchise released The Mandalorian on Disney+ last November. The Marvel and Chef actor, writer, and producer Jon Favreau directed the series. On the Starwars timeline, follows the victory of the Rebel forces and circles around a bounty hunter. Though he prefers to work alone, he manages to stumble upon a strange creature, which viewers have dubbed Baby Yoda. Together, the pair manage to handle tasks and adventures across the universe. Here’s a little bit about the second season’s finale.
All Good Things Come to an End
One of the most popular streaming services out there, Disney+ has just been releasing great films and series. A crowd-favorite that has release season 2 is no other than the Mandalorian. Season 2 kicked off where the previous season left off but with more surprises for fans across the globe. The Mandalorian’s ongoing success can be attributed to popular names making cameos such as Boba Fett and Ahsoka. The season finale had the entire Starwars fanbase abuzz online. Jon Favreau continued to raise the bar closing Chapter 16 with Luke Skywalker.
Aside from the incredible cast, the Mandalorian could not have come together without Baby Yoda. In the second season, Baby Yoda has been named Grogu and no one is complaining. Every single episode is jampacked with a fantastic plot and resolution that continues to please viewers. Who knew that the Mandalorian’s little star would get some big action scenes? Also, who could have predicted the huge impact such a little creature could have?
The Ending Explained
Where to start? First off, the Mandalorian ended with a gut-wrenching finale. As the name suggests,” The Rescue”, focuses on Mando’s plan to free Grogu (his son) from captivity. In order to do this, he calls on the various favor points he earned in the past two seasons. Then, Mando made an explosive entrance on Gideon’s Imperial Cruiser, literally. At first, it seems like Gideon was going to let Grogu and Mando go, but no, he tries to kill Mando anyway. Obviously, it did not work out in Gideon’s favor. There’s a whole issue about the Dark Saber, which is something Mando’s crew member, Bo-Katan, was hunting for. Due to technicalities, Mando won rightful ownership of it and viewers will just have to wait and see what happens with that issue.
Now to the jaw-dropping ending. After that whole fiasco on the Imperial Cruiser, the crew and Mando seem to be completely surrounded by Dark Troopers and robots. Then all of a sudden, a mysterious rogue Jedi appears. The savior goes through Dark Troopers like it’s nothing wielding their vibrant green lightsaber. Usually, viewers start speculating on this figure’s identity after Grogu perks up like he knows the Jedi. Which, in actuality, he somewhat does. That’s right, Jon Favreau has now added Mark Hamill’s character to the star-studded cast. With the introduction of Luke Skywalker, no wonder the Disney+ finale is what everyone is talking about.
