Foldable iPhones are getting there now and we’re here to wait!
Foldable iPhone prototypes have recently passed the internal testing for their durability. This has been initially reported by a Taiwanese website, the Economic Daily News.

According to the source, the tests were completed in a Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China showing progressive results to its internal hardware of the company’s folding hinge system for two different mobile devices.
The first has undergone testing in which it’s a dual-screen model which was rumored to occur by Jon Prosser. He explained that this model used two separate display panels which are connected by the hinge. Though the prototype iPhone features two separate displays connected by a hinge which makes it also look seamless. The company has claimed and patented two separate iPhone displays that could also create a single foldable device with a hinge.
However, it is not yet unclear whether the tests have different hinge systems. The test devices though, shells have limited internals rather than fully-working devices for the real purpose is to test the durability.
But based on the reports, after the conclusion, Apple is expected to assess which of the foldable iPhone to proceed and launch. The foldable iPhones are said to be launched in 2022 to late 2023 as Apple recently started to register patents relating to it since 2016.
The Foldable iPhone is about to come according to some rumors. This was when it was observed that Samsung has been supplying foldable sample units to big companies such as Apple. The leaker of the upcoming foldable iPhone pointed out the immediacy of this development.
It was just last year that Samsung was reported in supplying foldable display technology to other companies. This proposes the idea that a foldable iPhone could launch soon.
Samsung has been the key supplier of Apple. For instance, the OLED screens for optimum Apple display. It has been recognized that the company would like to dominate the foldable display market as a supplier. They even planned to step up their production to 10 million units a year. This will depend also on the demand.
