Tech Giants are now on the move in banning the Former President online.
Former President Donald Trump’s YouTube account is now under suspension for one week span. This happened when Trump earned one strike of violation from the platform’s policies. The suspension was announced on a Tuesday evening, also speculating that this decision will prolong more.
What really happened with Former President Donald Trump’s Account?
According to the CNN business reports, a recent video on Trump’s YouTube channel contained with violence. However, the video was already removed from the platform. The Tech Video Giant refused to entail any details regarding the said video. However, the platform shared that the suspension will take a week and likely to revisit the case afterward.
YouTube has cleared though that the Whitehouse’ account has not been totally suspended yet. But it’s under investigation for suspension as they have already been given a warning or strike. Up until now though, YouTube is the only social media platform that has totally suspended the Former US President.
Based on the YouTube spokesperson, “After careful review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J. Trump channel and issued a strike for violating our policies for inciting violence. As a result, in accordance with our long-standing strikes system, the channel is now prevented from uploading new videos or live streams for a minimum of seven days—which may be extended.”
YouTube is also said to be taking the extra miles of not allowing comments underneath videos on Trump’s channel.
President Donald Trump also answered on Tuesday that “Big Tech is doing a horrible thing for our country and to our country, and I believe it’s going to be a catastrophic mistake for them.”
Trump continued: “It causes a lot of problems and a lot of danger … there’s always a counter-move when they do that, I’ve never seen such anger.”
Stripe Stops Payments For the Trump’s Campaign Website
According to Wall Street Journal Reports, Stripe stops payments for the Trump Campaign website, which promotes violence from using the service. The online payment processor has stopped the ongoing payments or remittances of President Donald Trump’s campaign. This was after last week’s havoc at the United States Capitol.
Stripe is the one who is responsible for online payments for thousands of online businesses in the United States. However, they have announced to cut this service for the Former President Donald Trump’s campaign due to many violations of the company’s policies. Specifically, in encouraging violence that causes havoc in the white house. The Wall Street Journal stated that the company is strict when it comes to its policies in having a business that “engages in, encourages, promotes or celebrates unlawful violence or physical harm to persons or property.”
