The anonymous spokesperson added that the company doesn’t release its exact download record. The surge in downloads comes as skepticism over Big Tech rises in the US and other countries.

This app is considered a great option because of its stance on its suite of features and privacy. To allow you to create groups with up to 200,000 users and share files of up to 2GB for free.
The app also has public channels and self-destructing messages. This feature is currently unavailable on WhatsApp.
Another great feature of Telegram is its Bots, which enables you to integrate different services and automation right into your Telegram.
The app has end-to-end encrypted chats, but the default chats are also stored on Telegram’s servers. Although this is the case, you can still activate its Secret Mode for device-to-device encrypted chats.
