What if there was a device that could allegedly eliminate the need for a painful swab testing? A new study reveals that the Apple Watch could allegedly detect early COVI symptoms.
Reported by CBS News, a new study highlights that smartwatches just like the Apple Watch might be capable of detecting COVID-19 before a number of symptoms or even a positive test. The studies were separately undertaken by the official Mount Sinai Health System over in New York and Stanford University located in California are now giving expers the hope that Apple Watches might possibly play an important role when it comes to stemming the pandemic as well as a number of other communicable diseases.
Apple Watch safety alert
The official Mount Sinai website revealed that the Apple Watch was able to detect certain subtle changes in a person’s heartbeat all the way up to seven days prior to the onset of COVID-19 symptoms or even a positive test. The study then analyzed the heart rate variability or even the variation in time in between heartbeats. This also included about 300 health care workers who reportedly wore Apple Watches between both April 29 and September 29.
The report details that their main goal was to use certain tools in order to identify certain infections during the time of infection or even before people were able to know that they were sick. This was according to the assistant professor of medicine at the official Icahn School of Medicine over at the Mount Sinai over in New York City as well as the author of the popular Warrior Watch study, Rob Hirten.
Apple Watch health benefits
It was also stated that they know that the heart rate variability marks the actual change as the inflammation starts to develop within the body and that COVID is known to be an event that is incredibly inflammatory. Hirten then stated to CBS MoneyWatch saying it actually allows people to predict that certain people are infected even before they themselves know it.
As of the moment, they are known to rely on certain people saying that they either feel sick or that they aren’t feeling well. Wearing the Apple Watch, however, won’t require any of the user input and can also identify people who could potentially be asymptomatic. It is also a certain way to be able to better control the infectious diseases, according to Hirten.
Apple health devices
The Apple Watch has been popular for a number of reasons and a big portion of these reasons is its contribution to health and fitness control. With modern day technology upgrading on entertainment, it is only fair that there should be a device that can monitor, assist, and alert users regarding their health conditions.
The Apple Watch, of course, would still need an iPhone in order for it to function properly and give its users the full benefit of what it is capable of doing. The iPhone 11 Pro is one of the devices that allow the Apple watch to function smoothly and should bring out the best features that the digital watch has to offer.
