The new upgrade will likely give users more enhanced applications this 2021.
Firefox 85 upgrade will support the import of new passwords from the password manager Bitwarden, KeePass, and other password managers that use the same format. As of the moment, Firefox’s current version supports two passwords related to export and import options by default. Users may use it to import passwords from supported web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Chromium, Microsoft Edge classics, Chromium-based, and export logins to CSV file.
Firefox 85’s Update:
There are some password managers is available in importing Firefox passwords however, it doesn’t have the option to import passwords until now. Despite this, the company has started to work on this matter. Though they have not released this for Firefox 80, the company has assured users that it will be available this coming Firefox 85.
Firefox users may enable this through the following steps:
- You have to load about:config in the Firefox address bar.
- Then you have to confirm that you will be careful.
- After that, click and search for signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled.
- Set the preference to TRUE using the button at the end of its line.
Important Note: You have to take note that CSV files are unprotected, it is a must to delete these as soon as they are no longer needed. The new import feature release date is still unclear to users. However, Firefox 85 is scheduled for January 26, 2021 launching.
Google Chrome Will Soon Test Saved Passwords
Google Chrome has given account password management that would really help users to save passwords automatically. This type of password management would help users access any accounts that were kept on the user’s personal computers.
And just recently, Chrome has started to integrate a password checker to alert users about passwords found in any internet leaks. This then pushed them to launch a Password Checkup extension into Chrome’s functionality.
It has been reported that there will be an upcoming release of Google Chrome 87 that improves the browser’s functionality. This upgrade also means that the company also integrated the options to check for weak passwords. The update will call it Chrome Canary.
