Though this billionaire seemed like doing a lot of things on his plate, one thing that makes him different from other billionaires out there is his very active presence in social media, especially in Twitter.
Due to their CEO’s somehow ‘addiction’ in Twitter, Tesla has secretly posted a new job post, looking for ‘Tesla Energy Support Specialists,’ with a simple goal: answer negative tweets against Musk, and or stop him from posting too much.
Want to work at Tesla?
Elon might be the busiest person in the world, but he surely prioritizes social media more than anything.
On Twitter, the billionaire posts at least three up to five tweets a day. But, never misses 24 hours to post online.
Some of his posts update his consumers on what to expect in SpaceX or Tesla. Few of the tagged posts give him time to answer relevant questions.
But, there were also tweets that are not simply relevant to any of his companies, or what seemed to be the regular ‘Elon.’
Mostly, it composes of personal opinions, quotes, or humorous pictures.
Unfortunately, as the second richest man in the world, some of these tweets might not give him a good image look as a CEO.
To turn this around, Tesla reportedly posted a new job post, looking for a so-called, ‘Tesla Energy Support Specialists.’
What’s a ‘Tesla Energy Support Specialist’?
A Tesla Energy Support Specialist is a new position in the company, meant to be responsible in answering ‘customer issues,’ address and resolve complaints, and even reportedly handle Musk’s personal social media accounts.
However, when writer/reporter Jay Boller (person originally posted the job post) checked it again on the website, the post is now revised.
Original job description:
“Tesla Energy Support Specialist handles a variety of customer issues while delivering on world class customer service.
The role of a specialist is to resolve or escalate complaints through appropriate channels and address social media escalations directed at the CEO with critical thinking.”
Revised job description:
“Tesla Energy Support Specialist handles a variety of customer issues while delivering on world class customer service. Deliver on Tesla Measures of Excellence, perform other issues and assignments including administrative, special projects.”
Tesla ditches PR team in 2020
Last year, Tesla reportedly ditches its public relations (PR) department. There were no reasons of the unexpected dissolution of the team.
However, in past reports, it was claimed that Musk’s untrusting nerve on press media might be one of the reasons behind this decision.
In May 2018, the CEO bashed the media sector for allegedly “publishing only enough to sugarcoat the lie,” which “is why the public no longer respects them [press].”
This was the very first time that an automaker company done this decision. Since then, Elon Musk’s Twitter account has been the main source of publication companies, regarding any information about SpaceX or Tesla.
