Elon Musk just tweeted of giving a donation to the person who can find the best carbon capture technology finder.
Last Thursday, Musk tweeted that he will reward $100 million to the person who can breakthrough with the best carbon capture technology. Though, Tesla’s CEO hasn’t shared the full details about it, he seconded a twitter of “details will come next week.”

Elon Musk has just recently surpassed Bezos on the first spot, as the world’s richest person has recently tweeted a vast amount for Tesla’s innovation. The tweet’s message is vague as to where the contribution will be put into. However, knowing what this carbon capture technology would give us a background on the world’s richest man motives.
According to scientific reports, carbon capture or storage is what really defines it. They capture waste carbon dioxide emitted at a refinery or factory at the source and then stored it with an aim to eradicate the potential harmful byproduct from the environment and worsen climate change. This type of technology has been the goal of the most huge companies to shift to environment-friendly companies. However, It’s undeniable that the upfront cost for carbon capture and storage or sequestration (CCS) has been the biggest barrier in companies.
