It seems that recent video game titles took any influence from Cyberpunk 2077. The most recent Glitchpunk announcement trailer confirms that.
Developer Dark Lord has just unveiled an announcement for his title Glitchpunk, according to PC Gamer. No, in no form is it linked to Cyberpunk 2077, but for the “punk” in the center.
But yeah, it’s futuristic, much like the CD Projekt Red title, published in December last year. Oddly, the latest Dark Lord project appears much like the neon variant of an existing game of Grand Theft Auto!
Glitchpunk: Everything you have to remember
The Glitchpunk announcement trailer says that it will be a full-on action title, talking about the just-revealed new game. Its distributor is Daedalic Entertainment. But the developers still sets the game in future, much like Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a story about an android bounty hunter with a serious glitch. When it starts a quest toward big bad companies and authoritarian regimes, it leads it to revolt against its programming.
You’ll be able to snatch vehicles, throw fists, and blow stuff up in Glitchpunk around multiple cities. Aggressive cops, cartels, and horrible drivers are overflowing with them. It is not just about that, though. Dark Lord, the developer, said the game “also tells a story of transhumanism, xenophobia, and religion.”
The game developer added that the world around you “can be influenced, new friends made, face off against more enemies than you can count, and you might even find love.”
In other words, when you wander through a huge globe, it can be called a kind-of-open-world tag. In addition, modern vehicles like cars, vans, bikes, tanks, and even trains can even be attempted! If anyone recalls Fallout Games’ popular Pip-Boy radio alternative, this one also has a similar element. The in-game radio of Glitchpunk can have a wide variety of songs, “together with news and absurd commercials,” from foreign artists.
The Glitchpunk announcement trailer also announced that they will release the game in the second quarter of 2021 with Steam Early Access.
Coming Computer Games in 2021
The year 2020 has been full of big titles and promotions, and 2021 is going to be nothing new. It’s going to be even bigger with the likes of Resident Evil Village, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War: Ragnarok, and Psychonauts 2. While Hitman 3 and The Medium are already out for consoles, many other anticipated games are on their way.
The long list includes upcoming titles like Halo Infinite, Returnal, Deathloop, Dying Light 2, STALKER 2, Far Cry 6, Cyber Shadow, Gotham Knights, and Glitchpunk, of course
Upcoming games including Halo Infinity, Returnal, Deathloop, Dying Light 2, STALKER 2, Far Cry 6, Cyber Shadow, Gotham Knights. Of course, game developers added Glitchpunk in the long list.
The new year has just began!
