Spotify Plans to Recommend Songs to Users Based on their Moods

The most thoughtful app goes to Spotify or does it?

Spotify plans to create a user interaction feature where the application can recommend songs based on the subscribers’ recent emotions. The application has been creating playlists recently based on the user’s song history.

Spotify Plans: A New Patent

According to the first report by BBC News, Spotify has recently been approved for a patent that will let them make some user-observation from the subscribers’ voice.

Spotify stated during their interview with BBC News, “It is common for a media streaming application to include features that provide personalized media recommendations to a user. “However, it requires users “to tediously input answers to multiple queries” about their music preferences.

The Music platform suggests that it should listen to users’ speech, and understand what they’re doing. By then they can detect the user’s moods  “alone, [in a] small group, [or] party.”

Then it could also note “intonation, stress, [or] rhythm,” to determine whether the user is “happy, angry, sad or neutral,” as Spotify plans.

Shazam To Spotify: Here’s How To Connect Them For Faster Music Streaming

Shazam is a popular application service where you can identify any unknown music or song being stream everywhere. All you have to do is to open the app, then put it near the song that you want to recognize. You just don’t have to forget that it should be connected to the internet, though. This app is owned by the Tech Giant, Apple

With Apple’s gradual improvements with their apps, there’s already a feature where you can press the button and stream the music you just recently recognized.

  1. Download and install Shazam and Spotify on your iOs device to connect the two applications.
  2. Launch the Shazam on your iPhones.
  3. Swipe up My Music from the main Shazam screen.
  4. Tap the Settings button on the upper left corner screen.
  5. Tap Connect next to Spotify.
  6. Finally, choose the green Agree button to authorize the connection.
