Will FIFA 21 be on Stadia? The answer’s YES and it’s coming to the platform some time really soon!
EA is said to be bringing more than just one football game to Google Stadia. Today, the publisher had officially announced that FIFA 21, what is known as the latest entry in this particularly “beautiful game” franchise, will then be available for gamers to stream this coming March 17.
Is FIFA coming to Stadia?
The story was reported by Engadget and it stated that it will join the Madden NFL 21, quite a different kind of football game, which was previously added to the service previously on January 28. The stated streamable port is expected to work on every single Stadia-supported device.
This would include the Chromecast Ultra dongles, the Android tablets and phones, the Chrome browser, as well as the iOS devices. This is either through Google’s very own official web application, or even a fan-made app just like the Stadium.
Will Stadia get more games?
For now, it is still unclear if the said game will have a temporary free trial just like Madden NFL 21 at the launch. The announcement is said to be a huge surprise. Some time last April, the company then dropped three different game titles that are expected to come to Stadia some time in the future.
Madden NFL 21, FIFA 21, and even the Respawn-developed game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The latter of these games was released back on November 24, which was more than a year after the game’s initial debut on the PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch.
Is Stadia any good?
The enhanced version for the new-gen console, the PS5 and the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X consoles were said to be released a few months later. EA still has not revealed the nature of its very own Stadia port. However, there’s a huge possibility that it’s based on the popular existing PC version for the platform.
For Google, however, this is a massive release. Stadia’s new library has pretty intriguing high-profile sports game titles. This would include the NBA 2K21, but its very own overall library still pales by quite a lot in comparison to Steam as well as a number of other online retailers on the console marketplace run by both Microsoft and Sony.
Stadia FIFA 21 release date
Every addition should be able to help the platform’s very own store, which still does not have any type of search functionality as of the moment, feel a little less threadbare. It’s now particularly important that Google has officially shut down its very first-party development studios in both Los Angeles and Montreal.
Google released a blog post which noted a statement from Stadia chief Phil Harrison saying that the company would be focusing its efforts instead on third-party publishers and developers. Without certain companies like EA, it still has little to offer their Stadia customers. This includes the monthly Pro subscribes.
