The Project Titan which will reportedly be the new Apple EV project has definitely turned a lot of heads over rumors that the company might be built on a certain platform that will be developed by Hyundai as well as its subsidiary Kia. What happened?
The potential deal between the Apple EV and Hyundai and Kia reportedly went from “close” to “pause” in just a matter of days. Now, the automakers release a statement saying they are no longer in talks to make the Apple EV, according to Bloomberg.

According to the story by Engadget, Hyundai would have reportedly provided the new electric platform built over in North America for the new Project Titan, while Apple would have reportedly worked on developing the car’s software and also its hardware. Although Hyundai had confirmed that talks did take place, it seems like things took a different turn.
Hyundai then noted that they understand that Apple is currently in discussion with quite a lot of global automakers and this includes Hyundai Motors. Production was expected to start later on by 2024 according to a certain report coming from the Korea IT News, now, the latest development is referred to as quite a letdown from that.

Apple is quite famous for its privacy and is breeding certain ground for rumors, though, especially for a particular product as potentially consequential like an upcoming autonomous Apple EV. However, another analyst Ming-chi Kuo, who reportedly has quite a record when it comes to deciphering Apple rumors, recently gave a statement to Apple Insider saying Apple is still planning to use the Hyundai E-GMP platform for the company’s very first Apple EV along with Kia manufacturing the said vehicles over in the United States no sooner than 2025.
