Garmin Enduro has been revealed to support solar powered battery that can last up to 65 days. It also includes a customizable mode of power management.
The recently launched, Garmin Enduro, is rightly described as a fitness tracking and training smartwatch. It is supported by GPS with several features in it, including VO2 Max that can track cardiovascular fitness levels. The smartwatch also comes with a pulse oximetry sensor and a heart rate monitor feature. It is also capable of receiving and sending messages when it is connected with a Garmin inReach Mini satellite communication device. Location can also be shared by the users if preferred.
Garmin Enduro specifications and features
The Garmin Enduro smartwatch has been designed particularly for athletes and fitness enthusiasts who do cycling, long races, and mountain climbing. The device is equipped with a solar charging lens called Power Glass that allows users to enjoy the extended battery life by harvesting the power of the Sun. With the fully charged battery, Garmin Enduro delivers 70 hours in GPS mode that can be extended to 80 hours with solar capabilities. Battery life can be stretched up to 65 days when used in a regular mode with solar charging support.
On top of the solar charging capability, Garmin Enduro features VO2 Max and ClimbPro for enhanced training. Users can also track their resting times when the Ultrarun activity. Furthermore, it includes a Mountain Biking feature that can track mountain biking activities along with grit and flow measurements.
Garmin Enduro also incorporates a Recovery mode feature. Where it gives advice to users as to how long should they rest before proceeding to another workout. Mostly, advice is based on the user’s sleep and wellness data. Users can also enjoy training guidance as the smartwatch has Recommended Workouts available.
In relation to specifications, Garmin Enduro comes with a 1.4-inch sunlight-visible, that displays transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) with the resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. The smartwatch also has global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) support that will enable the usage of GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo connectivity. Altimeter, barometer, and a 3-axis electronic compass are also included in the smartwatch. It has an optical heart rate technology and a pulse oximetry sensor for wellness tracking.
Garmin Enduro comes with a 10ATM design that is water resistant with two variants to choose from. Its steel variant weighs 72 grams while the lighter titanium version is just 58 grams. The measurement of the smartwatch is 51x51x14.9mm and it is compatible with the 26mm wrist bands.
The smartwatch goes well with both any Android and iPhone units that can be paired by downloading the Garmin Connect app.
Pricing and availability
The price of Garmin Enduro has been set for the steel variant at $799.99 while the titanium version is at $899.99. One can now purchase this smartwatch through the Garmin official website in the US. The company will announce its availability outside of the US soon.
