Generally speaking, smartwatches were made not primarily for fashion but rather for their function. Garmin Lily caters to both, making it stand out over its competitor.
With slim stylish and feminine colors, the Garmin Lily has been cautiously crafted for women users. Garmin was successful in making it to the market when it comes to Lily’s stylish appearance. However, it has some missing features that can upset some customers.
Perfect Petite Size
Without a doubt, Garmin can make outrageous GPS watches. But Lily demonstrated that Garmin can successfully offer Petite size too. Its petite round face with 34.5mm size and slim 14mm band make the Lily suitable for stylish women.
Not only is the size petite, the weight too is light with 24 grams. In fact, the Lily is one of the lightest smartwatches available in the market. It can even make one forget that she is wearing it until it alerts with the incoming notification.
Despite the fact that it is petite in size, the Lily offers a battery life that can last up to four days.
Garmin Lily: Stylish design
The Lily comes with a stylish design that looks like the elegant watch more than the common fitness watch. Its round display frame is made of thin aluminum which is attractive and presents a classic look.
When not in use, the display will fade. The varied colors have different patterns that add a touch of class to the watch. The color options are designed quite femininely that easily match any outfit. One can wear it even on formal occasions without others knowing it to be a fitness watch.
Durable but simple grayscale display
The display is not that bad after all; however, it cannot compete with its competitor. Its grayscale display is not as good as the colorful OLED of the Apple Watch and the Garmin Venu. Gorilla Glass 3 covers the display that protects the screen from scratches.
Like most of the other Garmin devices, the Lily comes full of wellness features. Like its stress monitoring and body battery energy tracking features. It can also count one’s breathing rate and blood oxygen level while sleeping. All the other wonderful wellness tracking, sleep metrics, and widgets expected in a Garmin watch are all included in the Lily.
Some missing features in Garmin Lily
However, Garmin holds back a little bit on the activity choices with only a handful of timed activities to choose from. Nevertheless, even if the choices are limited, the included activities are broad enough to cover the basics for many people.
Kelly Hodgkins of digitaltrends believes that Lily is missing out on some of the important features. Garmin Wallet is not available for users on this device. Another frustration is in relation to music. While it has a music widget that is capable of controlling the music played on the phone, it doesn’t have onboard storage to download music to the watch.
