Starting immediately, Game Time can be purchased with only one option: 60 days for $30. The offerings for the Game Time options of 30 days, 90 days, and 180 days have been removed.
Blizzard has decided to make a change in how gamers pay for the World of Warcraft effective immediately. The only Game Time available is the 60 days offer, says Eddie Makuch of Gamespot. The company has removed the rest of the Game Time options, no more 30 days, 90 days, and 180 days. Besides Game Time, the subscription offerings remain unchanged.
The Subscriptions remain the same except the Game Time option change
This change is officially announced to be effective immediately. But for those who already bought other Game Time offering options will remain until the subscription expires. To renew the subscription moving forward, they can only choose the available offering.
Blizzard reportedly said that it is making these changes after reviewing its services in all currencies. The company highly appreciates the gamer’s choosing World of Warcraft amidst the many other games’ choices available out there. With this, Blizzard reiterated its commitment to making sure that it continues to provide gamers with a great entertainment experience.
Besides the change mentioned above, the subscriptions for World of Warcraft remain the same. Gamers can continue to pay $15/month for a month, or $14 per month for blocking the three months. And the rate further goes down to $13 per month when subscribing for six months.
WoW introduces “The Burning Crusade” after the WoW Classic launched last 2020

Blizzard has been surprised over the success of the World of Warcraft Classic launched last year. The company initially thought that the game might appeal only to the small segment of gamers. John Hight, the company’s Executive Producer, said that it certainly came as a surprise to the company.

Hight further said that when the company launched the Classic last year, they were quite hesitant, fearing that it might not attract many gamers. Initially, he thought that the Classic might only be able to attract the core fans of WoW. But to their surprise, it garnered patronage to the whole community of the WoW players. Now, the company has to support two major communities.
Hight proudly said that Blizzard now holds the record for the two biggest MMOs across the world. It certainly is a significant community, which has grown much bigger than the company initially thought.
