One of Sega’s exclusive games on the Nintendo Wii Platform gets a remaster made for the latest consoles in the market today.
IKSample, a notable German production company responsible for the German localization of several brands such as gaming properties has listed Sonic Colors Remastered in its latest portfolio.
The listing has brought attention to many fans of the franchise as well as Nintendo Life, that even viewers such as yourself can see the proof by visiting IKSample’s website page. Hover the cursor over their “More Projects” page, which can be viewed in the tab’s “Games” column located on the father left side.
From there, Sonic Colors Remaster can be found at the top pile of localizations back in 2020. The rest of the list shows other dates and reveals what other games the company has worked on for German localization of earlier Sonic titles.
The listing in question was brought to attention by Nintendo Life and can be viewed yourself by visiting the website’s “More Projects” page. As seen in the “Games” column on the far left, Sonic Colours Remaster sits right at the top of the pile of localizations from 2020. Looking further down the list at some other dates also reveals that the company has worked on localization of prior titles.
Few other Sonic titles are also found on the website’s tabs, such as Sonic Boom found on the 2014 section, SEGA’s 2013 Reboot and Sonic Forces 2017 all organized accordingly to the year of their release. Moreover, there are other Sega games such as Alien Colonial Marines and Alpha Protocol.
However, these are worth taking with a pinch of salt, as most of the listings on IKSample’s website are either in hard-to-determine codes or are just upcoming sneak peeks for project names. Additionally, Nintendo Life was able to point out the presence of an unnamed image in the site’s “Projects” section. Better not to get your hopes just yet.
More About Sonic Colors
SEGA’s favorite blue and speedy hedgehog’s Sonic Colors was released for the Nintendo DS and Wii console back in 2010 and has been recognized as one of Sonic’s most exciting projects created with 3D graphics. The game was also exclusive to these Nintendo consoles, so if a legit announcement for a remaster was in the works, it’ll remain its stay in the Nintendo Switch console.
What More to Expect from the SEGA’s Franchise?
Sega is currently hoping for Netflix to push the upcoming release of Sonic Prime, an animated series that will keep loyal fans entertained while waiting for a new game. Sega’s last big hit was Sonic Forces which was released way back in 2017. Moreover, Sonic Prime has yet to have a release date, but the series is expected to air on Netflix later in 2022.
Sonic Colors has yet to have any other news of further releases, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any other games worth playing. SEGA has been partnered with Nintendo for a long time and has even new games released on the Nintendo Switch, with games such as Sonic Mania, Sonic Racing, and more.
Even the famous Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, is available to play on the Nintendo Switch, making players use the Nintendo Switch joy cons for a real fun experience.
