Apple’s Siri seems to be onto something with its response to “Siri, when is the next Apple Event?”
In a previous report by MacRumors, Apple’s voice assistant gives out information on the next Apple Event when asked. When inquired, Siri will respond with ‘April 20th.’ The response remains the same on different iPhones; however, this is only available on devices associated with US Apple IDs.
Typically, Apple announces its events by sending out invitations one week before. Hence, the news of the event should become official soon.
As a response to the inquiry, Siri will say, “The special event is on Tuesday, April 20th, at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. You can get all the details on Apple.com.” Tapping on the link should take you to the Apple Event landing page; however, as of right now, the said event is not listed yet.
Moreover, it seems strange that the event seems to be set in Cupertino, especially since this would most likely be another one of Apple’s online pre-recorded events.
Details of the Apple Event
Unfortunately, Siri’s response to the inquiry doesn’t contain more details about what might occur during the event, much less what Apple wants to announce. Although, the latest rumors by Bloomberg do suggest it could be about new iPad Pro models, which were said to launch in April.
Apple iPad Pro
The upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro is said to be the first device among Apple’s products to have a mini LED screen. This will allow a high contrast ratio without risking burn-in, which is common in OLED displays.
However, the new iPad Pros might only have limited supply due to issues with production, one which Apple faces with Mini LED displays. Nevertheless, the upgrades in the iPad Pro are worth noting, with new processors having a similar amount of power to Apple’s MacBooks’ M1 chip, USB-C ports, better cameras, and faster transfer speeds to look forward to.
Besides the iPad Pros, Apple is also said to be launching its long-awaited AirTags soon. The device was said to allow users to track the locations of users’ items using the Find My software. Moreover, it was expected to get launched last year; however, it never got released.
Apple has finally opened up its Find My network to tracking items from other companies, and they now have a platform to launch its physical trackers. Hopefully, these items come as soon as possible.
Unless Siri’s response is a lie, the invitations to the said Apple Event should arrive soon.
