Google Chrome is currently testing a new feature called ‘Memories’ in their browser. This feature includes a specific page that shows all your web activities within a single page and is available for Google Canary users.
As people are continuously trying to be productive even at the comfort of their own homes or just having fun online, Chrome continuously finds ways to make it easier and less hassle for all of its users.
Google Chrome ‘Memories’
A report from Techdows explains the use of this latest feature. ‘Memories’ uses a card-based view to show all your web activities. Chrome browser will also include a search bar to enable you to search through it. It shows everything in one page making it easier than just looking at your browser history.
This feature specifically includes tab groups, bookmarks, and Chrome history all in one page. This will make it easier for you to search for a specific web activity.
You might be thinking that this feature is already present in one setting or another. Somehow, correct. However, this feature is simply making the management of your information easier and faster to find.
How to Use ‘Memories’?
Chrome’s ‘Memories’ can easily be added in your Chrome browser. The process is described by MS Power User in their recent post. However, take note that it is only available on Google Canary for Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, and Android. For those who are using Chrome Stable or Beta, you will not be able to use this feature yet as of the moment.
Users need to have Google Chrome Canary 92.0.4479.0 or higher to enable the said feature. Also, this isn’t a default feature in your browser. Therefore, you should make sure to enable it. You can do that through the use of the following steps:
- Open Chrome Canary
- Type chrome://flags in the URL box
- You’ll see a search box, where you’ll need to type memories
- Enable the flag
Additional New Features in Chrome

Also, Chrome is also helping its users improve their productivity. Latest Chrome updates now allow users to include a link to your highlighted text. This additional feature allows you to share a URL only for a selected text highlighted to be easily seen by the recipient.
Another feature to increase productivity are the newest PDF features that Chrome offers. You may try to browse your PDF and use the new sidebar to go to a specific page. Additionally, your PDFs can now be viewed in a two-page format. Chrome also added an updated tool bar which includes necessary actions like zoom, jump to page, save, print and more with just one click.
