League of Legends Patch 11.8 is not yet satisfied with the arrival of the latest Gwen since the new patch notes release some major buffs to this newly released hero in the Summoner’s Rift.
It’s only a few days ago after League of Legends released its most awaited hero. However, Riot finds some ways on how to buff Gwen, giving her two different parts for the new champ’s kit. The major buffs focus on her base stats and her primary damage ability called Snip Snip.
League of Legends‘ new changes was slight ones compared to how other champions were affected by the last update, but they should be noticeable to those who’ve already been putting time in with Gwen.
The buffs released by League of Legends for Gwen changed the values of her base armor as well as the base damage of Snip Snip! and the ability’s damage on the final cut that always does more than the first few strikes. You can find the buffs for Gwen’s stats below as outlined in the mid-patch update for Patch 11.8.
To give you more idea, here the exact champ buffs that League of Legends released for its Patch 11.8 version;
- BASE ARMOR: 37 ⇒ 39
- Q – SNIP SNIP! BASE DAMAGE PER SNIP: 8/10.75/13.5/16.25/19 ⇒ 9/12/15/18/21
- Q – SNIP SNIP! FINAL SNIP BASE DAMAGE: 40/53.75/67.5/81.25/95 ⇒ 45/60/75/90/105
League of Legends made Gwen an OP hero
Thanks to the game’s new buffs for Gwen, she now has more armor to start the match off. This will help her survive against the more physical champs she’ll find on the top lane. This means that she can go toe-to-toe against Darius, Irelia, and other OP top-heroes.
For those who haven’t played as Gwen and have only faced off against her, that’s the one that she’s able to use so frequently in the lane where the cuts at champions with her scissors to deal true damage in the center with the number of cuts increasing based on how many times she attacked an enemy previously.
- Demonic Embrace
- Rabadon’s Deathcap
- Void Staff
- Banshee’s Veil
- Spirit Visage
Since you already know Gwen’s game builds, here are her skills that you should know;
Q: Snip Snip!
Gwen rapidly snips her scissors between two and six times, dealing magic damage in a cone.
W: Hallowed Mist
Gwen spins up the Hallowed Mist to surround her for five seconds, gaining some armor and magic resistance when inside. Enemies outside the Mist cannot target Gwen or hit her with any abilities.
E: Skip and Slash
Gwen dashes a short distance and empowers her attacks with increased range, speed, and on-hit magic damage for four seconds.
Gwen can cast Needlework up to three times but needs to hit an enemy within 8 seconds to unlock each subsequent cast. Each cast fires needles in a line that deals with magic damage, slow enemies, and apply Gwen’s Thousand Cuts bonus magic damage.
As of the moment, these are only the changes that the popular strategy game made on her. If the players like it, there’s a high chance that Riot will release further buffs. But, if the developer and publisher find Gwen too OP, then fans should expect some nerfs.
