A network has been established for the first time in history through quantum processors.
It is not an exaggeration to claim that setting up the internet through the power of quantum is a revolution. This advancement in technology will allow quantum devices to provide great levels in terms of their privacy and security, along with the computational clout that can solve the various complicated problems that would usually destroy an ordinary computer.
In so far that the groundwork for the project has been established, only to quantum devices have been fully connected. However, at the current time, some physicists belonging to the Delft University of Technology in the country of Netherlands have successfully performed the connection for three quantum devices in total.

Quantum computing, as a whole, allows powerful processing in the level of more than the number of a hundred million times in terms of speed compared to an ordinary computer. While a working quantum internet, in reality, might be a shot in the dark, the three-node network has brought this reality considerably closer.
The development of a network through the works of Hanson and his colleagues advances the world one step forward towards the reality of quantum internet, although we are significantly still far away from it. However, it does show the ability of quantum devices to communicate with one another with further advances, over vast distances in order to generate a fully functioning quantum internet in the future.
