One of the most anticipated video game showcases of the year is right around the corner, is your favorite gaming studio making it to E3 2021?
Expectations continue to ride high for the gaming event after last year’s E3 2020 got canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. With E3 2021 schedule buckled up for June 12, 2021, video game fans are sure to see the biggest names of the industry showcase their upcoming games.
Popular video game developers such as Sega, Bandai Namco, and Activision have recently been added to the list of showcases, as they were also notably not present from the initial list way back. Fans might even get to hear more about the latest news regarding Nintendo’s Breath of the Wild Part 2 or Square Enix’s latest installment, Final Fantasy XVI or news about Final Fantasy VII Part 2.
E3 2021 event is going to be held online, so fans who have not been to one of the event’s physical shows can now have access through their computer and mobile screens. After the cancellation of the E3 event last year, there have been rumors stating that there wouldn’t be an E3 event this year as well.
However, Entertainment Software Association has proven the rumors as false and has continued working their hardest to make the online event successful as ever. Additionally, a lot of speculations from the gaming community also mentioned how the E3 2021 event is going to be broadcasted for free or would probably keep up a paywall for the event, which ESA has debunked these rumors as well.
Entertainment Software Association took it to their Twitter page last April 6th to announce the E3 2021 event and schedule which starts from the 12th of June 2021 to the 15th. The event aims to bring the gaming community together for the hottest and newest updates in the gaming industry brought by game developing companies, as new games, updates and more will be showcased during the annual gaming event.
E3 or the Electronic Entertainment Expo has always been held annually during the summer, granting the opportunity for developers to give their fans a sneak peek of the latest projects they’re working on. Notable companies such as Activision, Sega, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, Square Enix, and more are set to be present at the event.
Of course, one of these major developers will continue to remain absent in the conference which is Sony. The major developer will rely on its own event to talk about exclusive PS5 titles and more about its console in the present. However, the general game titles which will also be available for other platforms will also be displayed by their respective companies at the E3 2021 event.
As much as we are excited about the latest updates and news in the gaming industry, we’ll definitely have to wait for June to see what E3 2021 has in store for the gaming community. Exciting names such as Activision, Sega, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, Square Enix, and more are sure to give us news about their upcoming game titles.
