Breeze is finally going out in the VALORANT Patch 2.08, and that’s not the only thing coming for players.
Riot Games is finally releasing VALORANT Patch 2.08 to introduce the new map, Breeze, and the beginning of Episode 2 Act III. However, these aren’t the only things that Riot has for its players, as the game now has added features and new bug fixes.
Episode 2 Act III
The update will begin the last chance for players to work in the Episode 2 Rank Reward, which will be awarded after Act III ends.
VALORANT Breeze Map
Breeze is a new VALORANT map inspired by the Caribbean. It is set on a secluded island and is distinguished by its playful, colorful, and bright surroundings. It has various open spaces, which brings players more encounters long-range.
The update will come with an additional option of a Breeze-only queue for Unrated games for 2 weeks following the update, as well as in standard queues for Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Escalation, and even Custom games.
This means that Breeze will not be available in the map pool of the standard queues for Unrated and Competitive games.
Game System: Coach Slots
To cater to the increasing demands of professional VALORANT games, Coach Slots are now included in the game’s Tournament Mode, which marks the developers’ beginning efforts in their work on team Coaches.
At the moment, the functionality of the coach slots is limited; however, more can be expected in the future.
Nevertheless, below are the current functionality of the coach slots:
- Spectate Tournament Mode while being locked to observing one chosen team in custom lobbies.
- Coaches cannot use Team Chat, Voice Chat, or Map Pings in-game.
- Coaches can only use All Chat and Party Chat for cases when communication is needed with a Tournament Moderator.
- Coaches have the ability to pause matches.
Good news for everyone, a reporter feedback is now added in the game, so players can get notified if the players they reported get sanctioned. Moreover, Riot continues to encourage everyone to report disruptive players to make VALORANT a better place for all.
Warnings are also now enabled for first-time offenders to remind them of the code of conduct in-game, which removes any excuse to behave badly.
In the new VALORANT update, players of Wild Rift will now show up on VALORANT’s social panel.
Agent Bug Fixes
The game has fixed a Killjoy bug where her Alarmbot and Turret icons disappear after being disabled. Additionally, Astra and Brimstone smokes now do not block flashes if players are not fully inside them.
Viper bugs have also been fixed, which made Toxic Screen stay longer than intended after passing through Bind’s teleport. Moreover, the developers have made the pickup distance of Poison Cloud from 400 to 200.
