Animal Crossing’s new event
Now is the time for another seasonal celebration in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! According to Gamespot, this time it’s May Day, which runs from today through May 7.
This is not the same as Bunny Day, May Day doesn’t last a whole week. It instead gives users the full week to go on a one-time May Day Tour at their entertainment.
Like the previous year, this tour offers you a special island, unlike the normal Mystery Tour islands you usually go to. It comprised a special maze that you can fix for a special prize.
During the May Day tour last year, we still suggested you do it not just to feel a new maze, but due to its offers that is an all-new prize for returning gamers.
How To Get Your May Day Ticket
To start with, go to Dodo Airline to get your May Day Ticket. This will be prepared at the counter for you. Just use the May Day Ticket before the end of the day on May 7.
In addition, you can only use it once. The May Day Tour on Animal Crossing goes around 15 minutes to finish.
When you’re ready, talk to Orville, and choose “I wanna fly!” and then “Use a May Day Ticket.” Worry not about what’s in your pockets–all of your items will be held for you at the airport.
How The Animal Crossing May Day Tour Works
The goal is making your path through a maze by only the items you get on the island. These items include tools, your native fruit, and crafting stuff; you’ll also get DIY recipes for the flimsy axe and normal axe in case you didn’t already have them.
Within the maze there are nine bell vouchers to collect. This can be sold at Nook’s Cranny for 3k bells each. Your main goal is to go to the special NPC at the end of the maze: Rover.
The puzzle relies on fruit power. This is the stamina you get from eating the fruit. While buffed from eating fruit, you can dig up the whole trees and destroy rocks.
This is your main problem in the maze. You’ll need to consume a fruit to dig up a tree or destroy a rock.
Furthermore, lets you enter an area that has more fruit or crafting materials. If you want to have all the bell vouchers, the task is to use your fruit sparingly, make an axe, and chop down trees. You’ll need the fruit enhancement to break rocks instead.
If you get stuck, you can use the Rescue Service app on your NookPhone. You can also ask Wilbur for a hint. The Rescue Service will fully reset the maze and your inventory. Thus, beneficial if you used a tool you shouldn’t have and can’t go to certain areas of the maze.
This blue cat, who’s a returning NPC from previous Animal Crossing games, will be giving you a specific piece of furniture for finishing the maze.
What Do You Get For May Day?
The dodos will give you both Rover’s reward and the bell vouchers you chose up in the mail. They should arrive a day later. The reward, Rover’s briefcase, a tool you can display that has cute stickers from Rover’s adventures.
If this is your second time finishing the maze, then you’ll be given a memento photo of Rover.
