Fans could not help but wonder if Mr. Dolphin will still have a place in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Final Fantasy VII stole the most bizarre scene in the whole Final Fantasy franchise, where dolphins are lifting Cloud to reach a girder rank. Final Fantasy VII (FF7) is best known for its melodramatic storyline with a touch of silliness.
Due to its huge success, FF7 will have a remake. In the second part, fans of the fantasy RPG wonder if Mr. Dolphin should stay or go.
Mr. Dolphin’s Debut in Final Fantasy VII Remake
Final Fantasy VII starts with Cloud, the protagonist of the story, arriving at Junon together with his party.
The conflict began when Shinra Electric Power Company’s new city was built right above Junon. As a result, the sunlight was blocked, and the waters were polluted. This establishment has received complaints against the company.
What’s more in this tragedy is the incident concerning Priscilla, a teenage girl, and her friend Mr. Dolphin. They were attacked by a seas master while playing. Cloud and his party save Priscilla from the sea creature. With this, the girl offered a whistle to reach Shinra along with Mr. Dolphin’s guidance.
It is tricking to imagine the recreation with realistic graphics in a more grounded reinterpretation.
Final Fantasy was first released in 1997. Years after, it is hard yet exciting to imagine the recreation, considering that the graphics nowadays are more realistic.
The Remake’s first part proves Square Enix’s astounding skills at reimagining elements. For instance, the game’s Wall Market sequence, which played Cloud’s cross-dressing, was made just for fun. Now, instead of cutting the part, the gaming company took the opportunity to promote gender fluidity and diversity.
Mr. Dolphin in FF7 Remake?
Fans argue that Mr. Dolphin should not be cut from part 2 of the Final Fantasy VII Remake. The storyline is too essential and sentimental to shift or twist the story. To add, the symbols of Priscilla and Mr. Dolphin are necessary for the story’s quality.
It can be related to humans’ disrespect for nature. Shinra is the organization representing humans and their horrible and harmful activities.
This is among the many reasons fans fight for Mr. Dolphin’s place in Part 2 of the Remake.
