You probably were speechless, literally, when you witnessed the danger faced by the Abbott family. They encountered terrifying blind monsters that hunt through their excellent sense of hearing in a movie “A Quiet Place” released April 2018 by Paramount Pictures.
It is finally time for them to bring nerve-wracking scenes once more with its sequel. A Quiet Place 2 is to be available in theaters this May 28 as reported by CNET. Staying quiet has never been this terrifying with the continuation of the Abbot family’s muted journey.
What To Expect?
A Quiet Place 2 got a new trailer on Thursday. This will remind its viewers of the tension it brings to the screen. The sequel, still directed by Krasinski, continues the story of a post-apocalyptic world being habited by monstrous creatures with excellent hearing. If the first movie showed their survival within their home, the sequel extends the terror outside. The main character Evelyn (Emily Blunt) must now take her children into the world outside their home. Still infested with the creatures.
With the millions of Americans already vaccinated, people are becoming open now to previous routines. This includes opening of movie theaters. However, if you are having second thoughts for whatever reason it may be with going to a theater, The Verge gives another option for you. You can watch it in the comfort of your own home. Paramount confirms that A Quiet Place Part II will be released on Paramount+ after 45 days of its release in theaters.
You may watch the trailer below.
Why Just Now?
This pandemic affected several aspects of our lives and the entertainment industry was no exception. Because of this, the sequel experienced a 14 month delay due to COVID pandemic. Aside from this, there are several movies that experienced quite a delay. It includes the James Bond film No Time to Die bumped to November 2020. Also, F9 (Fast and Furious) moved to April 2021.
John Krasinski tweeted last March 2020 about the confirmation of its delay and that it is best to be seen in theaters. He added that the changes are due to the unforeseen circumstances happening around the world. It is also not the right time for it to be viewed as explained by Krasinski.
Where Did It Start?
For those of you who haven’t seen the first movie yet, you better watch it now. The first movie circled the life of a couple (Krasinski and Blunt starred as Lee and Evelyn Abbott) in a post-apocalyptic world infested with blind monsters. The couple is trying to raise their family and facing the dangers of it. Given the hypersensitivity of the monsters with any noise or sound, the family should keep their utmost silence throughout the movie.
There was a particular scene of Evelyn (Blunt) giving birth without making any noise unless she wanted to be eaten by the monsters.
A Quiet Place Part 2 will be available in US theaters by May 28. Also, to hit Australian cinemas on May 27 and will come to the UK on June 3.You may mark your calendars and let’s all be terrified quietly together.
