League of Legends: Wild Rift will get a lot more exciting since Riot, the popular mobile title’s developer, confirmed that it will soon have its own eSports tournament before this year of 2021 ends.
Right now, League of Legends: Wild Rift is not considered to be a professional eSports title since it was just released and some countries still don’t have access to it. Most of the eSports tournaments are dominated by various titles on PC such as the League of Legends PC version, Call of Duty, DOTA 2, and more.

According to the recent press release, the executives have announced that there will be a global tournament in late 2021. They added that League of Legends: Wild Rift and other mobile titles will help shape the future of eSports.
On the other hand, John Needham, the Global Head of eSports at League of Legends: Wild Rift’s developer, said that “To top off 2021 for Wild Rift Esports, regional teams will qualify for our first-ever Wild Rift global tournament,” He added that While we haven’t nailed down all the specifics, Riot is committed to a global Wild Rift Esports event in the fourth quarter of the year.”
Riot Games’ announcement about the upcoming Wild Rift eSports Tournament
Riot Games’ confirmation was announced at a virtual Prevent event that was held for more than 300 media people during the start of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational. Aside from this, the Regional League of Legends: Wild Rift eSports competitions have already started all over the globe. Southeast Asia had the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. These locations had 54 professional teams.

As we kick things off in the rest of the world, we expect to see some of the biggest names in esports also announcing their own Wild Rift rosters,”
