Do you have a problem with your hearing?
If you have an issue with your hearing ability or have someone that might need a little boost in their hearing, Bose has a good news for you. Recently, the United States’ most-trusted sound equipment developer has launched its newest SoundControl hearing aids for adults. Here’s how it works, and how safe are they for your ears.
Need hearing aids?
Nowadays, not only old people have problem with their hearing. Sometimes, even younger adults can have difficulty in hearing and understanding things. Luckily, Bose has announced on Tuesday, May 11, that the company is now ready to put its SoundControl hearing aids for direct-to-customer selling for the public market.
SoundControl hearing aids will be launched next week, May 18, to be sold directly by Bose in five states — Massachusetts, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. Unfortunately, for other states, you might need to wait for additional days to be able to buy the product. This item costs $849.95 that comes with a “90-day risk-free trial, dedicated product support, and are available at a fraction of the cost of most conventional hearing aids.”
SoundControl hearing aids features
Before you buy the product, here’s a quick rundown of all the features you should expect on the device. As explained on their blog post:
“The SoundControl hearing aids features a behind-the-ear, receiver-in-canal design and deliver natural, lifelike audio. Each weighs 3 grams and contains two microphones, one tiny speaker, and a standard 312 zinc-air battery. Eight batteries are included in total, and one lasts up to four days when used 14 hours daily. They can be replaced wherever hearing aid batteries are sold and easily changed via a durable door on the exterior. There’s also a World Volume button integrated on the housing for convenient, quick control. For added protection, SoundControl Hearing Aids are water-resistant to survive light exposure to rain or water and come with a small case for storage and transport.”
To add to its effect, the SoundControl hearing aids also has a ‘Focus’ feature that works with “Front” setting for filtering noise in busy rooms and an “Everywhere” setting that allows all sounds during walks outside or around the house.
For its price, Tech Visibility sees that it is already a good investment since the quality of Bose is certified and trusted by most Americans. Unlike hearing aids in the market that can be cheaper but non-effective.
US problem with hearing loss
It is worth noting that hearing loss is quite a problem in the country. According to survey, one in eight people in America ages 12 and older has hearing loss in both ears. About two percent, however, could result to disabling hearing loss, especially for ages 45 to 54 years old. This was also mentioned in the Bose’s press release.
“In the United States alone, approximately 48 million people suffer from some degree of hearing loss that interferes with their life. But the cost and complexity of treatment have become major barriers to getting help,” said Brian Maguire, category director of Bose Hear, in the press release.
