The first ASUS ZenFone 8 update started with increasing the camera quality, improving the system performance, and more additional features.
ASUS comes strong again. It started another strong roll with the announced first post-launch update of the ZenFone 8 series. The phone model gets the WW 126.96.36.199 update while the ZenFone 8 Flip rolls along with the WW 188.8.131.52.
First Update Adds New Features
The changelogs show to remain the same for the two models of the ZenFone 8 series. The update inputs a “priority mode” within the Settings menu of both models of the ZenFone 8 series. The new feature allows its user to set their “priority contacts” which will divert away from the phone’s mute function.
As it seems to be noticeable, the ASUS ZenFone 8 series updates with another feature called “Force Dark Mode”. It gives more control to the user over apps that do not permit the dark mode theme feature. Some of the OnePlus devices already showcased a feature like this.
Majority of the Android phones already input the same feature in their own settings menu. Although, it might not show the same level since it’s considered advanced compared to the others. Once the phone updates, the feature reins its power on a per-app basis, not for all the apps together.
The feature already pre-acquired a reputation of breaking some apps, a few of them, which could cause issues. By the term “break”, it meant that the elements of UI do not look right at all. Because of this, the user could only enable it for only a couple of apps; the user does that while making sure it won’t affect the UI.
First Update Increases Camera Quality and Improves System Performance and More
The update also includes the increasing of quality in the camera. However, there are no further details announced just yet. The performance of the system improved greatly, and it’s also the same case for the overall system stability.
The update will soon bring a new security patch for both Android phones, a security patch of April 2021. It assists in enabling the VolTE on many other carriers in both Norway and Lithuania, in case you’re living there. You can check the changelog out in the image below.
ASUS yet again steps up their game in the market and formidable competition of phone sales. Their series’ and models become better and better by the day, giving their customers what they want. If ASUS keeps this up, they might just catch up to becoming one of the biggest smartphone companies out there. Although, that’s only a possibility.
More of the information and details will soon come out within the next couple of months. Both of the models part of the ZenFone 8 series are way more stable compared to the regular Android phone. And since this came out only recently, only more polishing of the models awaits in the future for us.
