Since February 2018, Rust skyrocketed its sales on PC, with Steam players giving it a positive rating.
For some players, it is the finest survival game experience; for others, they say it’s a complete waste of hours in their life. Today, Rust’s game developers, Double Eleven, takes their game to other platforms, making it available on Xbox and PlayStation.
Yes, Rust on console is totally separated from the experience on PC due to the fact that these two platforms have different play styles. Yet, without the assistance of FacePunch Studios there won’t be Rust on console, since they’ve given Double Eleven to create their own version of the game. But for some people, Rust seems unfamiliar. Here are some of the things you need to know about this video game.
What is Rust?
Rust is a multiplayer survival video game, and its main goal is to survive in the wilderness. This game features 100 players waking up together on a bizarre post-apocalyptic isle, surrounded with danger.
During the game, fiery animals are vividly seen, but do not put your guard down because the real threat comes from other players. With thirst and hunger at the forefront, elements of danger are consistently trying to take you down. From there, players are left with their own devices to survive the brutality of the game.
At the start of the game, each player has a pair of rock and torch. The rock can trim down trees, break stones apart, and it can also stand as a defensive weapon. Since there are no other gears, the player must kill animals in order to have clothes and food to avoid dying from hunger.
To survive in the wilderness, players must gather needed materials and use it to craft tools, equipment, and weapons. With the lack of advanced items and tools, players must first obtain the required amount of materials by finishing tasks.
Aside from battling with other in-game players, there are tons of challenges that users should overcome such as; drowning, attack from wildlife, hypothermia, and starvation. Prior to that, there are also locales around the map that are radioactive with four different levels: minor, low, medium, and high. But before entering the area, players should wear a certain vest to avoid possible danger.
Is Aim Assist available on Console?
After hearing the release of Rust on console, players went wild and kept asking if Aim Assist is available in Rust. To answer that, Aim Assist is not yet available, but developers say that they are currently working on it for the next update.
On the next update, there will be an option to enable it in the game’s menu. For the most part, Console Edition players will not have aim assist enabled by default, since its availability is only in selected servers.
How much does Rust cost?
You can already pick up a copy of Rust right now entirely depending on what console you mostly play on. A ‘standard edition’ costs about $48.45 only available until May 21st, while the ‘deluxe edition’ costs $59.62 having a 3-day access and a welcome set. Not only that, Rust also has an ‘ultimate edition’ that costs $85.17, the latest version that is massively fascinating.
